Provision of Police and Multi-Agency DASH (2009) Training

DASH (2009) was accepted by ACPO Council in March 2009 for roll out across UK police services. Laura developed the model in partnership with CAADA to create one common risk assessment framework in the UK.

Laura has developed numerous bespoke training packages, which vary in duration depending on the target audience. They include: front line staff; specialist staff, and; 'Train the Trainer' packages.

All training packages are set within the wider context of public protection, including an input on profiling offenders and making the links across violent crime. Training includes: the methodology, history and research base for the DASH; a profile of the perpetrators and findings from the domestic homicide reviews; case studies; risk categorisation; risk management frameworks and tactics, and; a dedicated focus on stalking and harassment and so-called honour based violence.
